Walter Hartwig, Ph.D.
 

Walter Hartwig, PhD, graduated from the University of California – Berkeley in 1993. He has served on medical school admissions committees since 1997. He has been involved in human anatomy and general medical school education for more than 15 years, and recently authored a human anatomy textbook, Fundamental Anatomy (2007, Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins). His most recent book, Med School Rx: Getting In, Getting Through, and Getting on with Doctoring, will be published in 2009. He is Professor and Chair of Basic Sciences at the Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California, and a senior consultant for Admissions Consultants, Inc. In addition to his work in medical education, Professor Hartwig has published numerous scientific articles and chapters in the fields of primate and human evolution, including The Primate Fossil Record (2002, Cambridge University Press).
