What's Included?
Your package will include whatever guidance you need depending
upon where you are in the application process. Remember, your
pre-med advisor is your most crucial source of feedback for the
AMCAS/AADSAS application. If you want assistance with the
supplemental essays or interview prep, or if you lack an advisor,
Kaplan can certainly help. The Basic 3 Hour package could cover
developing your goals and creating a list of target schools,
creating a timing strategy for secondary applications, or
brainstorming for your supplemental essay/personal statement
topic. Or it could be used for the critique and discussion of a
first draft of your supplemental essay. See the timeline below
for how long each application "item" typically takes the
consultant so you can gauge your package selection.
Each package kicks off with a 15-minute introductory call,
during which you and the consultant exchange contact information
and briefly strategize how you will structure your sessions
together. From there, you and the consultant will act as a team,
attacking your applications from the most ideal angles for you.
You also receive free, immediate access to our Online
Toolkit, which keeps your admissions efforts focused and
organized.
Students often use their Basic 3 Hour Package for:
- Idea exchange on how to best package your candidacy,
including the theme for your application(s)
- Assessment of the likelihood of acceptance at your target
schools, refining or finalizing the list as necessary
- Development of an action plan and strategy for timing and
meeting your application deadlines
- Assessment of the likelihood of acceptance at your target
programs
- Brainstorming for possible essay topics that reflect your
personal traits, experiences, and accomplishments
- Review and critique of a first essay for tone, content, and
depth
