To help you navigate the process, Kaplan continuously hosts free events throughout the year, including Free Practice Tests. Our experts will guide you through every step of the admissions process from test secrets to financial aid to crafting a winning essay.

PSAT

The PSAT includes two 25-minute Math Sections, two 25-minute Critical Reading Sections, and one 30-minute Writing Section.

ACT/SAT Combo Test

Trying to decide between the SAT or the ACT? The combo test includes a condensed version of both the SAT and ACT. All sections are represented with the exception of the ACT essay.

SAT

The SAT includes an Essay Section (one 25-minute section), three Math Sections (two 25-minute sections, one 20-minute section), three Critical Reading Sections (two 25-minute sections, one 20-minute section), and two Writing Sections (one 25-minute section, one 10-minute section).

ACT

The ACT includes one 45-minute English Test, one 60-minute Math Test, one 35-minute Reading Test, one 35-minute Science Test, and one Optional 30-minute Writing Test (or Essay).
